D.J. Smith, Packers Face Giants Again
Green Bay, WI (1/9/12)-The Packers will host the Giants Sunday at Lambeau Field in an NFC Divisional Round playoff game. The two teams have faced off once already this season. That game was only a few weeks ago with the Packers victorious 38-35 in New York.When the Packers and Giants met on Dec. 4, it was a shootout.
The two teams gained nearly the same amount of yards (Giants 449, Packers 447), most of which was through the air (Giants 360, Packers 347), and it came down to a five-play, 68-yard field-goal drive in the final 58 seconds for the Packers win.
The previous matchup was Smith’s first start of his NFL career, he finished the game with 8 total tackles, replacing the injured Desmond Bishop. Smith should expect a fair amount of playing time in his playoff debut.
